CEBU, Philippines — Don Bosco Technology College snared another championship trophy via the boys under-13 division of the 20th Aboitiz Football Cup yesterday at its own turf in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.
DBTC continued its championship haul after also winning the under-7, under-9, under-11 and boys 15 titles earlier in the tournament. Don Bosco Alumni also reigned supreme in the 45-above class.
This after the Bosconians scored a lopsided 7-1 victory over Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu.It is a sweet victory for DBTC booters as they exacted revenge on SHS-Ateneo, defeated them in the finals last year.
Don Bosco also saw five of its players going home with individual trophies with Carsten Pumajera as the Most Valuable Player while Joseph Kyne Garces was hailed as best midfielder, John Oberes is the best goalkeeper as John Rodriquez clinched the golden boot award.
Earlier, SHS-AdC Magis Eagles settled for third place with a thrilling 5-4 victory over University of Southern Philippines-Foundation. (FREEMAN)
