Mayor's Cup bootfest kicks off at CSCC

CEBU, Philippines - A total of 130 teams coming from different schools and clubs here will compete in the Mayor's Cup Football Festival at the Cebu City Sports Center today.

The two-day joust features 11 categories including three mixed categories, the under 7, 9 and 11.

The all-boys battle, on the other hand, has the under 13, 15, 18, men's open and the 38-above division, while the distaff side has the under 15 and 18 and the ladies open.

Today's games are in the boys under 13, boys and the girls 15 and 18. The rest will take place tomorrow.

Spearheaded by Jerry Guardo, Cebu City's consultant for sports and Edu Rama, the event is supported by Leylam, BRO Nationals, Jayan's Catering,  EC Graphic Printing Services, and Phil Royal Knights Security Agency.— Caecent No-ot Magsumbol (FREEMAN)
