CEBU, Philippines – Don Bosco Technology Center’s Team D scored a three game win streak in the under-9 division of the 17th Aboitiz Football Cup yesterday at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu football field.
DBTC-D first grabbed a 1-0 win over Cebu International School followed by a dominating 5-1 win against Cebu Learning Center. After a short rest, DBTC-D sealed its day by defeating host team Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, 3-0 in group D.
DBTC-B, on the other hand, had a win and a loss in group B, after winning against DBTC-E, 10-0 but lost to SAIS Gannet, 2-0.
DBTC-A lost its match against San Roque Football Club, 3-0 before figuring it out in a 2-all draw with the University of San Carlos-BED.
In group C, Paref Springdale dumped DBTC-C, 5-0 while Cebu Learning Center and the Cebu International School ended on a scoreless draw.
Meanwhile, Lahug-A outduels DBTC-B, 2-0, in the under-11 action held at the San Roque Football field in Brgy.Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
In group B, CIS posted back-to-back victories against Bright Academy-A, 1-0, and DBTC-C, 2-1.
DB Magone over Bright Academy-B, 4-2 but bowed to Suba-Basbas, 5-0 in group C.
In group D, DBTC-A ended with a 1-all draw with SAIS FC while Consolacion silenced SAIS FC, 4-0. In the under-15 bracket, DBTC-A annihilated Alegria, 2-1, while DB Savio outsmarted Consolacion, 2-0.
At Cebu City Sports Center, Consolacion FC avenged its lost to DB Savio when its under-13 won registered a 5-0 win. SHS-AdC beat Benthel Asia with an 11-0 whitewash, Tabor Hills with a 5-0 triumph over SRFC while USC BED ended with a 1-all draw against Warshockz.
In the under-18 class, DBTC and CIS easily disposed Real Galaxy and Alegria FC respectively. (FREEMAN)
