Talisay City Marathon set for Aug. 17
CEBU, Philippines- Close to P67,000 in cash prize is at stake for the top performers of the Talisay City Marathon slated on August 17starting and ending at the Talisay City Hall in Brgy.Lawaan.
Aside from the 42K marathon, the event which is one of the highlights of Talisay’s 366th founding anniversary also features 21K and 5k categories.
The champion in the men’s and women’s 42K will take home P8,000 each, while the first placers in the 21K will pocket P4,000 apiece. The top performers in the 5K battle will each receive P1,000.
Known to be the home of Cebu’s best lechon, organizers promised that all runners will have a taste of it at the finish line. Aside from this, all the finishers will get a finisher’s shirt and specially-designed finisher’s medal.
Registration fee is pegged at P1,200 for the 42K, P600 for the 21K and P350 for the 5K run inclusive of singlet and post-race refreshments.
Registration is now going on at the Talisay City Sports Commission office, C &J, Gaisano Fiesta Mall in Talisay, RUNNR in Ayala Center Cebu and Kai Stickers at Villagracia building across Cortes Hospital in Mandaue City.One may also register online through http://store.aktib.ph . (FREEMAN)
