Villareal scores golden treble in Baybay

CEBU, Philippines -  Cebuana netter Shyne Villareal claimed three titles during the Baybay City leg of the Cebuana Lhuillier Age-Group Tennis Circuit.

Villareal topped the girls 16 and 18 singles as well as the doubles event along with fellow Cebuana Elgy Dasian. She pulled off a hard-earned 6-4, 6-3 victory over Cagayan's Gennifer Lysandra Pagente in the girls 16-under finals, but had little trouble in the 18-under class against Isabel, Leyte's Joy Camille Sanico, 6-2, 6-1.

Villareal then made it a golden treble as she and Dasian bested Baybay's hometown tandem of Jeminah Jabines and Cindy Yap, 6-4, 6-4.  (FREEMAN)
