CEBU, Philippines - University of San Carlos Green played its best game of the season as it cruised to an 82-38 win over Holy Spirit School of Tagbilaran, Bohol to clinch the Under 13 Division 1 championship of the Alaska Basketball Cup Cebu 2014 at USC North Gym.

After viewed as failing to meet its full potential during the elimination and semifinals rounds, the reigning Cebu SBP champions jumped to a 32-2 lead after one quarter, thanks to the combined efforts of King Balaga, Rasheed Libradilla and Vincent Razo who combined for 28 points including three triples in a red hot shooting first quarter.

This was the only run that USC needed as it took comfortable leads of  50-18 at halftime and 68-27 after three quarters. They never gave the visitors a chance to rally, shutting the door on several occasions through their full-court trapping. Balaga led USC with 16 points while Libradilla and Razo had 13 apiece. Francis Jungao led HSS with 7 points.

In games of the Under 19 division, Team CVIRAA cruised to a 3-0 record after defeating SHS-Ateneo de Cebu (88-74), USC (54-46) and USPF (75-41). USC was in second at 2-1 with its wins over SHS-AdC (77-65) and USPF (70-68). SHS-AdC won over USPF, 87-72 for its lone win against two losses. USPF is at 0-3 going in to the second round of the double round robin elimination round.
