Out-of- tourners rule‘Tour ni Frank’
CEBU, Philippines - Visiting riders Romeo Camingao and Jun Cabugwason dominated their respective classes in the final leg of the 12th RECYCLE Cycling series also known as ‘Tour ni Frank’ Cycling event the other day in Danao City.
The Marikina-based Camingao reigned supreme in the 40-below division over Kit Cabonita. Gino Basirgo landed at third place, while Nilo Barbalose and Amon Espinosa occupied the fourth to fifth spots.
Cabugsawon, on the other hand, lorded it over in the 40-above division. Cabugsawon from Ormoc City came to the finish line first, followed by Teodorico Tumulac. Ismael Gendrano wound up at third place.
Bernard Mabino was fourth place, while Teodorico Tumulak ended at fifth.
The two-day race, which started from Cebu City and ended in Danao, was organized by U.S based Frank Gatdula. "Thanks to the Lord almighty for giving us great weather and accident free race," said Gatdula who looks forward to a bigger race next year.
The race is also supported by Danao City Sports Commission of Boying and Ome Rodriguez, Cycle Logic, Recycle crew, cebucycling.com, Atty. Jong Sepulveda, Vellum Cycles, LUZVIMIN Racing, SBG Breastfeeding and Vios Construction. (FREEMAN)
