ERCO FC scores twinkill in Sinulog Football

CEBU, Philippines - ERCO FC scored a resounding back-to-back wins via the premiere men’s open and inter-company division during the Day 2 of the 4th Sinulog Football Festival yesterday in two separate venues in Brgy.Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

ERCO FC’s Team B claimed the premiere men’s open title at the expense of Tabor Hills, 2-0, in the final battle at the Aboitiz Sports Field.

Over at the San Roque Parish football field, ERCO FC grabbed their second title in the inter-company division this time against Leylam FC, 3-2.

In the inter-BPO action, Convergys came through with a 2-0 triumph over Lexmark, while Kevlar-Queen City United pulled of a 1-0 victory against San Roque Football Club, 1-0, to win the title in the above-38 division. Oliver Del Mar saved Kevlar-QCU after his goal in the midway of the second half.

In the distaff side, the University of San Carlos (USC) scored a 1-0 upset over San Roque Football Club in the female division.

The other squads who came out victorious in the Super Metro bankrolled tournament, were Dynamo FC who secured the under 15 title, Phoenix FC who snatched the girl’s 18 crown, Talisay Razkals in the under-9 class, Lahug FC who won the under-11 division and Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu who dominated the under-13 and under-15 divisions.
