CEBU, Philippines - It’s all systems go for the first ever ‘Fast Forward Faster: The Silver Run’ organized by the Cebu Holdings Inc. (CHI) on February 2 at the Terraces grounds of Ayala Center Cebu.
Over 2,000 runners are expected to participate in the event that is one of the highlights of CHI’s 25th anniversary.
The race, which features the 5K, 10K and 25K categories, also serves as a fund-raiser for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda in Northern Cebu.
Proceeds from the registration will be earmarked for a rehabilitation project through ABS-CBN Cebu’s Sagip Kapamilya and Agbayay sa Komunidad, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Cebu Holdings.
“We shall give livelihood assistantce through a fishing community in Barangay Bagay in Daanbantayan that will surely help them in recovering after the calamity,†said ABS-CBN anchor Leo Lastimosa.
Cash prizes, gift certificates and medals await the top three placers for all categories. All 25K finishers will also receive a specially designed finisher’s medal.
Entry fee is pegged at P300 for 5K, P400 for 10K and P500 for the 25K runners inclusive of singlet and post-race refreshments. Registration booth is located at the Active Zone of Ayala Center Cebu. (FREEMAN)
