CEBU, Philippines - Two warriors from Cebu-based Yaw-Yan ArDigma Martial Arts Federation will try to give pride to our country as they compete against American foes in an international kickboxing tournament dubbed as ‘Knuckle Up’ today in Vallejo, California.
Yaw-Yan Fighting Challenge Championship (YFCC) junior lightweight king Renan ‘Limbas’ Noblefranca and the undefeated Jordan ‘Labuyo’ Balcita are both ready to strut their wares against foreign fighters.
Trained by Yaw-Yan Cebu ArDigma Founder and CEO Master Benigno “Ekin†R. Caniga, Jr. and his prized son Johnlery Caniga, Noblefranca and Balcita will be carrying the Philippine flag as they both promised an impressive victory.
“This is a very big fight not only for me but for Yaw-Yan ArDigma-Cebu. I will have a chance to show that we have a more superior skills than other kickboxing disciplines,†said Noblefranca who displayed speed and power in knocking out Marjun "Muma Warrior" Porriento at the 1:57 mark of the opening round to defend his YFCC belt during the Ground and Pound (GPC) 7: Resolution last August 30 at the Cebu Coliseum.
“I am confident that they (Noblefranca and Balcita) will score wins even if they will be dealing with bigger opponents,†said Master Ekin. “I have waited a long time for this chance to show the world that we are capable of producing world class fighters.â€
Aside from Noblefranca, Balcita is already pumped up for his fight. Balcita stopped Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) veteran Johnjier ‘Dangerous’ Torbiso of Durex Dragon Kickboxing Club at 1:59 of the second round in his last fight six months ago at the Artemio Masbate Sports Complex in San Remigio North of Cebu.
“We will know today who their opponents are but they will surely be American Muay Thai fighters,†said Johlery Caniga, who is also an international MMA champion.
Whatever the results will be, Noblefranca and Balcita have a series of tournaments lined up for them next year in the United States. (FREEMAN)
