Another round of financial assistance from the Capitol
CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu provincial government has provided another round of financial assistance to 13 towns and cities in the second and fifth districts.
This financial aid, intended for infrastructure projects, was distributed through checks during separate service caravans in the towns of Alcoy and Compostela.
In the second district, P21 million in financial aid was handed over to Alcoy Mayor Michael Sestoso, Argao Mayor Allan Sesaldo, Dalaguete Mayor Ronald Cesante, Boljoon Mayor Joie De Rama, Oslob Mayor Ronald Guaren, Santander Mayor Marites Buscato, and Samboan Mayor Tito Calderon during the service caravan in Alcoy on September 24.
Meanwhile, during the service caravan in Compostela on September 26, financial assistance was provided to six LGUs in the fifth district. Governor Gwendolyn Garcia handed over the checks to Compostela Mayor Felijur Quiño, Carmen Mayor Carlo Villamor, Liloan Mayor Aljew Frasco, Catmon Mayor Avis Monleon, Borbon Mayor Noel Dotillos, and Sogod Vice Mayor Richard Streegan.
Each LGU received P3million from the Capitol.
According to Capitol’s media arm, Sugbo News, these funds are intended to support the Capitol's infrastructure initiatives as part of its ongoing efforts to promote development across the province.
Additionally, on August 17, the towns of Pilar, Tudela, Poro, and San Francisco in Camotes Island also received financial aid from the Capitol, amounting to P3 million each. — (FREEMAN)
