CEBU, Philippines — Controversial prosecutor Mary Ann Castro was killed in an ambush by still unidentified assailant last night along Escario Street, Cebu City.
Chief Insp. Eduard Sanchez, chief of the Cebu City Police Station 2, said the victim was driving her Nissan Juke on her way to Capitol area when the ambush happened. Police are looking at personal grudge and her work as prosecutor as possible motives behind the killing.
