CEBU, Philippines - Six people were arrested by the police during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Basak-San Nicolas Sunday evening.
The suspects were identified as Michael Villanueva Jr., 28; his father Michael Sr., 47; Celia Rosales Gascon, 40; Flaviano Lopez, 39; Danilo Redija; and Michael Jordan Villanueva.
Members of the Mambaling Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation against Michael Jr. after receiving information that he is selling illegal drugs.
An undercover policeman bought a pack of shabu worth P200 from the suspect resulting in his arrest. The police also recovered six more packs of shabu in his possession when frisked.
Senior Inspector Gerard Soquib, Mambaling Police Station commander, said that Michael Sr. was also found in possession of shabu while the other suspects were caught sniffing drugs.
Soquib said that Michael Jr. is said to be a level 3 drug pusher operating in Barangay Mambaling.
The suspects will be facing criminal charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. (FREEMAN)
