CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu City Traffic Operations Management and Cebu City Police Office are already in full alert status for All Souls’ and All Saints’ Day.
CCPO director, Senior Superintendent Noli Romana, said there will be 22 Police Assistance Centers in the different cemeteries in the city on November 1 and 2.
“Yung signages klaro, entrance (and) exit so that yung traffic flow ng tao, smooth,” Romana said.
“Meron na kaming distinction deployment, klinuster namin yung mga stations. May mga stations na walang sementeryo so tulung-tulong,” he said.
Further, CITOM Operations Officer Joy Tumulak said CITOM personnel will also be deployed in different areas in the city on November 1 and 2.
“Unya dunay mga pipila ka mga dalan, for example sa V. Rama, dunay mga pipila ka mga sakyanan nga limitado nga makasud nga di pasaheroan,” Tumulak said, adding that there is a possibility that vehicles will not be allowed to pass through portions of V. Rama Avenue due to the ongoing construction of the road in the place.
“Pag minus sa problema sa traffic kay ang V. Rama gitrabaho pa ang dalan dunay portion nga diha ra gyud kutob ang mga sakyanan, maglakaw gyud ang mga tawo,” he said.
“Og mahimo likayan nato ang pagduaw sa sementeryo nga magdungan tang tanan ug mahimo sayuhon ang pagbisita aron di mag-abot ang tanan. Og mahimo (October) 31 anam-anamon nato ang pagbisita,” Tumulak added.
Romana is also reminding the public anew of the dos and don’ts during All Souls’ and All Saints’ Day.
“As usual bawal pa rin magdala ng alak, mga gambling materials cards, of course walang maingay,” he said.
CITOM and CCPO will be focusing on the big cemeteries in the city such as Carreta Cemetery in Barangay Lorega San Miguel, Calamba Cemetery in V.Rama Avenue, Queen City Garden in A. Soriano Avenue, Cebu Memorial Park in J. Panis St. and Pardo Community Cemetery in Barangay Poblacion, Pardo. (FREEMAN)
