CEBU, Philippines - In time for the Sinulog next year, the rough road perpendicular to S. Osmeña Boulevard would be concreted at no cost to the Cebu City government.
Mayor Michael Rama said Robinsons Land Corporation agreed to undertake the road rehabilitation project as part of its corporate social responsibility.
“They are all very cooperative to help us out under the city’s People-Privately Driven Governance. They are going to do it before the Sinulog celebration,” Rama said.
Robinsons Land Corporation would undertake the concreting of the U-shape thoroughfare near their new establishment and near the old White Gold House, a couple of blocks from SM City Cebu.
The S. Osmeña Boulevard is currently undergoing an asphalting. The project covers 2.503 kilometers from the bridge near the Cebu International Port (which connects Cebu City to Mandaue City) to Palma Street near the subway near the Plaza Independencia.
