CEBU, Philippines - Due to super typhoon Yolanda, the Civil Service Commission-Central Visayas has reset to Dec. 15 the Special Service Examination (CSE)-Paper and Pencil Test (PPT) for professional and sub-professional levels that was scheduled for tomorrow.
CSC-7 Director Judith Chicano said the decision, which came from their main office, is in anticipation of the damage the super typhoon would cause that may affect the test takers.
The postponement, though, is not only for regions affected by Yolanda.
According to the CSC announcement, it is effective for all CSC regional centers administering the examination, which is meant for employees affected by the government’s rationalization plan for them to get civil service eligibility.
With the rationalization of all posts in national government agencies, the employees affected by the schedule change include casual, contractual, and job order staff members, who are now required to be civil service eligible.
The CSC has advised affected examinees to coordinate with their respective regional or field offices, whose contact details can be had at www.csc.gov.ph.
They can also call the CSC Examination, Recruitment and Placement Office (02-9512578/02-9316183) or email erpo@webmail.csc.gov.ph. (RHM) (FREEMAN)
