This, as the University of the Visayas (UV) called on its alumni, faculty, staff, students, and all Cebuanos to help the people of Bohol and Cebu through the Visayanian “Tabang sa (Help for) Cebu ug (and) Bohol”.

UV Executive Vice President Jose “Dodong” R. Gullas said it has always been part of the university’s culture to help those in need.

“We helped our brothers and sisters in Guinsaugon, Southern Leyte; in Cagayan de Oro City; and in Guihunglan, Negros (Oriental). Now it is time to help our fellow Cebuanos and our neighbor Boholanos,” he said.

Starting today, the UV Main Campus in Colon St., Cebu City and the Gullas Medical Center in Banilad, Cebu City are accepting donations of bottled water, canned goods and other ready-to-eat foods.
