UV places 4th in real estate exam, 9 other Cebuano grads in top 10

CEBU, Philippines - A University of the Visayas graduate bagged the fourth spot of the July 2013 Real Estate Appraiser Licensure Examination while nine other Cebuanos also made it to the top ten.

Johannes Lawrence Riñen occupied the fourth spot with an 84 percent rating while Jacinta Licanda was in the 10th spot with an average of 81.

The University of San Carlos, on the other hand, produced three topnotchers: Germaine Ouano in the sixth place with 83 percent, Gary Maningo in the eighth place with 82 percent and Flordelis Ababa in the ninth place with 81 percent.

University of the Philippines (UP)-Cebu graduates Mark Lawrence Babiera (81.50 percent) and Rona Zenia Porcil (81 percent) are in the ninth and 10th places, respectively.

Completing the Cebuano topnotchers are Geraldine Tumulak (82.50) of Southwestern University in the seventh place, Maria Theresa Rosell (81.50) of the University of San Jose-Recoletos in the ninth place and Henrisa Canoy (81) of Cebu Institute of Technology in the 10th place.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 610 out of 1,282 passed the Real Estate Appraiser Licensure Examination given by the Board of Real Estate Service in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao and Iloilo last July 21, 2013.

PRC also posted in its website that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on August 14 to 16, 2013 at the Registration Division Unit C, Ground Floor PRC Main Building.

All registrants are required to submit an original copy of Surety Bond for three years (with certificate of good standing from the Insurance Commission), with minimum amount of which is P 20,000 with the PRC.

For government employees, no Surety Bond is required, only submission of a notarized original Certificate of Employment. — /JPM (FREEMAN)
