PNoy is due in Cebu tomorrow
CEBU, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III is expected in Cebu tomorrow, his first official visit for 2013.
The Philippine Information Agency in Central Visayas said Aquino will be here to grace an important occasion.
No other details were provided as of press time pending a formal media briefing scheduled today.
As what have been practiced in the past presidential visits, PIA will give the details and the itinerary during the briefing.
A separate invitation received by The FREEMAN however shows that Aquino was invited to witness the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the European Community Shipowners Association and the University of Cebu-Lapu-Lapu-Mandaue.
The signing was originally scheduled tomorrow but was postponed indefinitely because of the unavailability of the European heads.
The PIA has yet to receive word from Manila whether or not the president’s visit will be cancelled also.
UC President Augusto W. Go is the chairman emeritus of the Noynoy Aquino for President Movement-Cebu Chapter during 2010 national and local elections.
The last time Aquino visited Cebu was in November 30 during the National Thanksgiving Mass for San Pedro Calungsod at the South Reclamation Project. —/FPL (FREEMAN)
