CEBU, Philippines – Everyone for sure wants prosperity and harmony in life. People go on various ways and do various things to have good luck. But a feng shui expert says a good life can be achieved by having unity and balance with the energies in the environment.
Professional Feng Shui and Bazi consultant Kevin Foong says that the general feng shui analyses by other experts don’t cater to everyone, since the people’s personalities are not limited to the 12 in the Chinese zodiac, the set of predictions systematically plotted following a mathematical cycle. Realizing how diverse personalities are, he formulated his own version of Bazi chart or the “4 Pillars of Destiny,” which can be accessed at www.kevinfoongcg.com/bazi.
He says good luck is not about buying lucky charms, but about managing the environment to one’s advantage. For example, to know if a business establishment will bring good fortune, the structure of a building shall be studied: the accessibility of its doors, the ventilation, the plumbing system, etc. Location is also important: the traffic flow and accessibility for customers.
Any discomfort inside the building can invite negative energy, which in turn attracts bad luck. In short, strategic planning is necessary – it’s what feng shui is about. Foong points out that making the right decision at the right time is also important in precluding bad luck and attracting good luck. He cautions, though, that feng shui should not be confused with religion, as it has nothing to do with faith; it’s preparing oneself for the possibilities in the future.
Having devoted 20 years of research in traditional Chinese metaphysics, Foong runs his self-named consultancy group in Singapore, where he is based. Today, January 24, the award-winning feng shui expert holds a 2016 Feng Shui and Astrology Seminar at the Quest Hotel, from 2 to 5 p.m.
