“Cut and Style 2016”

CEBU, Philippines - The Sinulog slogan “One beat. One voice. One vision.” now has another dimension – “One fashion.” There has since emerged a distinct wear for the festivities. And, it seems, Island Souvenirs’ four-year old “Cut & Style” campaign has much to do with it.

This year’s edition of the annual “Cut & Style” sets the spotlight on a series of special-edition Sinulog shirts that can literally be cut and styled to fit a wearer’s individual design preference – Sinulog-themed tees that can be swathed with studs and beads threaded through macramé knots and ties.

The special-edition Sinulog tees bear art deco-inspired Sinulog designs that can be styled at “Cut & Style Styling Centers” at SM City Cebu, SM Seaside City, the Activity Center of the Ayala Center Cebu and all stand-alone Island Souvenirs boutiques. “Cut & Style Makeover Zones” are also staged in these locations, where a selection of accessories are available, including festival dusts, stick-on tattoos, hair chalks, headdresses, iron-on shirt stickers, and headgear embellishments.

The campaign’s highlights for this year also includes a fashion presentation that’s slated to take place today, Friday, at 5 p.m., at The Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu. “Cut & Style” creations by designer and musician Kate Torralba are to be modeled by the winners of the Miss Cebu 2016 pageant, together with a number of Cebu’s top social media influencers.

The show also features “The Voice Season 2” host Yeng Constantino and the phenomenal dance group G-Force, headed by “Your Face Sounds Familiar” coach and “Dance Kids” judge, Teacher Georcelle. More information on the 2016 run of Island Souvenirs’ “Cut & Style” campaign is available on the campaign’s official Facebook page.  (FREEMAN)
