A full moon ago, Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama played host at an Appreciation Dinner at the Radisson Blu Hotel, an evening of fellowship with the Sister Cities and foreign and local delegates who have come all the way to Cebu to participate in the Sinulog. Likewise, this was an appreciation dinner for the generous donors (mostly from abroad) who have contributed to the rebuilding of the Cebu City Medical Center, the People's Hospital, which was destroyed by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Cebu in late 2013.
During dinner, we were quite amazed to see the guests enjoying the food served them… an all Filipino cuisine. Super entertainer of the evening was the host, Mayor Mike Rama himself, who titillated his guests when he rendered beautiful songs of yesteryears. Other entertainment numbers were presented by the CCMC Talents and Valenzuela Dancers. After which, tokens and certificates were given to Sinulog Out-of-Town Contingent and CCMC Reconstruction Benefactors. Pierre Jabagat and Cherimel Diane Muego were hosts for the evening's program.
At any rate, guests that evening were dignitaries, Cebu City and barangay officials, and officials of other local government units outside Cebu; Sinulog contingents; delegates from our sister cities such as Yeosu, Korea; Haarlemmermeer, The Netherlands; Sabrosa, Portugal (to name a few) and donors of the Cebu City Medical Center rebuilding project.
