Dr. Paulus Mariae Cañete, the president of Mandaue City College in Canduman, Mandaue City, led the celebration the feast of St. Therese last October at the MCC Campus. A Holy mass was celebrated and attended by the whole studentry of the school with some school officials and guests.

After the mass, dinner was served to all the guests. A beauty pageant was staged after dinner, highlighted by the coronation of Ms. Mhes Artizona as Miss St. Therese 2014, crowned by Barangay Captain of Canduman Felipe Diamo assisted by Dr. Cañete. Entertainment was provided by MCC students showing their talents in singing and dancing.

Immediately after the coronation, a concert starring the famous Max Surban followed with media personality and TV host Sam Costanilla as emcee. Curtain raiser of the show was a father-and-son comedy duo which brought laughters to the young and old audience. An applauded dance number of one of the female students of MCC was her Fire Dance. But when Max Surban took center stage, he dished out his very famous recording some years back - his own composition of "Mitulo Na, Mitulo Na" which brought the house down. It was indeed a very successful affair it lasted till after midnight. To Dr. Cañete, its all for the glory of St. Therese!
