"Our Folk Dances is our wealth, our pride and our identity"

CEBU, Philippines – The 7th Folk Dance Contest has been scheduled for September 28, at the Rudlof Rahmann Cultural Center, University of San Carlos, South Campus. It is to be participated in by the different schools that had joined in the recent Echo Folkdance Workshop among private and public schools. The public is invited to witness the performance of different Philippine dances.

In July the Philippine Folk Dance Society-Cebu Chapter held its 12th Echo Folk Dance Workshop at the Anselmo Bustos Sports Complex, University of San Carlos Down Town Campus. The participants, numbering 352 consisted of dance enthusiasts, Physical Education and non-Physical Education teachers, as well as high school and college students. PFDS Cebu Chapter president Mrs. Francita P. Pacana gave the welcome address. PFDS National vice -president Mr. Rodel Fronda grace the cultural show on the second night of the workshop.
