Marco Polo’s chefs in Culinary Journey

PEOPLE PLACES - Flor S. YNCLINO - The Freeman

Ten of Marco Polo Plaza Hotel's highly skilled chefs under the supervision of culinary guru Jessica Avila recently whipped up their own specialty dishes in a Culinary Journey Special Edition.

The chefs featured in this culinary journey were: Juanito Abangan, Nestor Alcoseba, Roseller Camomot, Carlos Dingding, Macario Escoba, Rodelio Galvez, Luigi Mangubat, Ricky Monares, Riz Degamo, Cornelio Tolo. Each presented an extraordinary dish.

As special guests during the launching of Chefs United, we savored all the dishes the 10 chefs prepared like Yellow chicken with Chili Chutney; Bicol Express with Hainanese rice; Beef Rendang and Chicken Cordon Bleu; Patatim (so yummy and very tender); Black Chicken Tonic with Red Dates; Cantonese style Steamed Fish Fillet; Lengua Burgundy with Coconut wine; Humba Knuckle with Banana Blossom; Mixed Seafood Thermidor; Paella Valenciana; a lot of Sashimi and Maki for starters and we ended our dinner with Ricotta Cheese Strudel with Macapuno-Ube Ice Cream, which was too much and quite filling.

Although Jessica Avila was not around during the launch, her steering the marvelous works of the chefs was commendable. Kudos to our good friend, General Manager Hans Hauri, who was fleeting from table to table, seeing to it that all the media people had their fill!
