It likewise encourages and fosters an understanding and appreciation of wines and spirits which is valued by Ordre Mondial members and their guests.
Recently David Sharpe, active vice echanson of Ordre Mondial Cebu, initiated a fun fellowship at the City Sports Club Cebu, Ayala Business Park.
This type of event as a rule less formal than those of the Chaine had practically everyone grabbing the microphone and belting a few lines or two. Winglip Chang, maître restaurateur,a good singer that he is, graciously entertained members and their special guests with a few broadways hits. Joining him for the fun of it were his amiable wife Pinky, Mike Smith, Alan and Lisa Mill Irving and everybody's friend Luis Moro. Animated conversation added pleasure to the splendid gathering.
The careful matching of the wine and food and the detailed preparations that went into the dishes, masterfully created by executive chef Brian Bersonda, certainly made it the most enjoyable event thus far. Outstanding wines that night included Chateau La Rose Brisson - Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2006 , a wonderful structure with lingering classy finish, and Cortedelle Calli Prosecco, chateaueuf-du-Pape 2008. Stella Artois, a Belgian beer and one of the prominent brands of Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world's largest brewer was served for devotees of beer.
In closing Sharpe thanked Michel Lhuillier, Baille Delegue and his wife Amparito, Bailli de Cebu, for their all out support to Ordre Mondial. (FREEMAN)
