The Party Never Stops In Boracay

Hallelujah! It’s summertime once again! A perfect time for bonding with family, friends or just simply taking a breather from the hustle and bustle of metro living – the endless and unimaginable work stress. And where else should it be spent but at the beach! Yes... Boracay!

Considered to be one of the favorite summer destinations in the region and even in the world, Boracay boasts of its seven-kilometer long and one -kilometer wide powdery white sand and pristine  blue waters perfect for swimming, strolling, sunbathing or simply just enjoying the sight of  those captivating babes and hunks passing by while sipping an ice-frozen margarita at one of those bars along Station 2. Other options such as scuba diving, snorkeling, kite surfing, parasailing, plus countless aqua sports activities are being offered for anyone who wants an adventure-filled and memorable beach experience.

Another must-do activity in the island is shopping in the famous “Talipapa” where one can find different great buys like native handicrafts, beach and fashion accessories, souvenir items such as the popular Boracay lamps, shirts, delicacies and what have you! I recommend you do this late in the afternoon, after enjoying the beach and before taking a shower or before having dinner at one of the many restaurants that serve different international cuisines and Filipino favorites.

And of course, when in Boracay, a night wouldn’t be called a “night” without bar-hopping and having a drink or two (depending on your alcohol tolerance!) along the strip of bars. After all, Bora, too, is a certified party capital in the country. As what they say, the party never stops in Bora!

So every chance I have for a Boracay break, I would willingly grab it without batting an eyelash! And that was exactly what I did when Southeast Asian Airlines or SEAIR, the fastest way to Boracay, and Destinations Specialists together with Philquest Asia, organized a familiarization tour some two weeks ago.

I would like to thank wholeheartedly the following who made that 4-day holiday a blast: SEAIR’s Anne Tan, Rondey Rodriguez and Kit Elemia; Destinations Specialists’ mega asset Lenlen Ebora; Philquest Asia’s Mahlon Estrada; One MGM Boracay, our “home away from home”, One MGM’s personable and “muy simpatico” F&B Manager Dong Mikin; Engr. Jimmy Forzado and, of course, One MGM’s General Manager and very proud to be Cebuano Rey Fuentes (thanks to you guys for your hospitality and accommodation truly fit for a king!) and Pink Patio for that hearty dinner.

Let me say this for the nth time...summertime wouldn’t be complete without a Bora escapade! God bless!
