Truly missed by her friends, Trixie Lebumfacil breezed into town a couple of weeks ago for a brief and much deserved break from her busy and hectic life as an accomplished interior designer in California. Yes, for the very first time in nine years (gosh! how time flies!)! An accomplished one, I can say, the vibrant and witty Trixie can now brag about her works and growing number of projects which includes the homes of US showbiz big names and that of a very popular NBA superstar, not to mention homes of some of  California’s well-heeled personalities.

Of course, Trixie’s very close friends from way back, scheduled a get-together in her honor on separate occasions. And one of them was that of the beautiful Villamor sisters Maris Villamor-Uy and Carla Villamor-Alegrado where I was one of those who warmly welcomed Trixie back. It was held at the Villamor family-owned Abuhan Tres at the I.T.Park. A very intimate one at that, the gathering was composed of the honoree’s sisters Buda and Jackie (with their only daughter and son, respectively); Maris, Carla, Glenn Soco and yours truly.

It was truly one night of fun and laughter while reminiscing the good ol’ days with sips of Abuhan Tres’ in-house wine and Absolut Kurant after that hearty dinner. Before everyone parted ways, Trixie promised the group that she will be back again come Christmas. Well, that’s one thing to look forward to, my dear! See you soon!

One of Cebu’s topnotch media personalities, Sam Costanilla, wouldn’t let his 48th birthday pass without gathering all the people close to him for a  celebration he truly deserves. Not just once but twice! The first one was held the day before his birthday at the Grand Majestic, a luncheon affair with Mr. Sam’s (that’s how I call him) colleagues in media. The second one which took place during his birthday, was at the Abaseria in  Villa Aurora, Mabolo with a really mixed crowd. With all the talents in one roof, what can you expect but a singing showdown! Of course, every guest was given the chance to express his/her birthday wishes for the birthday boy with the program emcee Boyet Lim passing the microphone to everyone in the house.

To you, Mr. Sam, here’s more happy years ahead of you! Cheers!
