Members of the entertainment press had fun at the bridal shower given by the Belo Medical Group to Marian Rivera held on December 5. The event also served as the launch of the Bridal Beauty Package for would-be brides who want to feel more beautiful on their wedding day.
That was the sixth bridal shower that Marian attended. She says she can’t say no to friends who hosted bridal showers for her. She isn’t asking for them, but these are being offered to her wholeheartedly. Besides, she can’t say no to Dr. Vicki Belo who is one of the sponsors of her and Dingdong Dantes’ wedding. So when Dr. Vicki told her about the planned bridal shower, Marian requested that she be joined by the members of the press who had been very supportive of her.
She was given another bridal shower by “Eat Bulaga” last Saturday, but it had to be cut short because the show already went overtime. Marian said she is very thankful for the noontime show because her exposure in the Sugod Bahay segment drew her closer to the people. Her stint in Sugod Bahay erased the impression that Marian is hard to deal with. It showed viewers the real Marian – caring, lovable and down-to-earth. And she promised that after her wedding, she will join the segment anew even on a limited basis.
Marian will follow the Filipino tradition of not fitting her wedding gown that will be brought personally to the Philippines by Dubai-based fashion designer Michael Cinco.
The press people who attended the bridal shower were one in saying that Marian is such a beautiful bride. As her wedding day nears, the more beautiful she becomes.

No person in his right mind would dare smell his pair of socks, especially if this had been used for seven days without washing just to prove that it doesn’t smell bad.
But this is the challenge of rapper Andrew E and the makers of Exped Socks (which Andrew E endorses) since this is the thrust of their campaign. Since they are using charcoal technology in Exped Socks, which originated in Japan, even if you use the socks for seven days, without washing, it won’t have an offensive smell. “I did it myself after a performance and it’s true, the socks don’t smell bad,” the rapper said.
In line with this campaign is also the release of Andrew E’s new album titled “Singhutin Mo Baby,” which contains 10 songs including five cuts to be used for the promo of Exped Socks. Aside from that, the album also has five new compositions of Andrew E that should be a good buy as a Christmas present. All you need to do is to buy P1000 worth of Exped Socks and you get a copy of Andrew’s new rap album.
It was indeed a great opportunity for Andrew E to get into a partnership with the company for this campaign. He had been using another brand of socks (which is also owned by the makers of Exped) and everything just fell into place. After they talked last July, the album was made through the efforts of Exped and is now available for rap music fans. Andrew E may have been in the industry for more than two decades but he hasn’t lost his touch.
