CEBU, Philippines - The coaches of the top-rating and Twitter-trending “The Voice of the Philippines” – Apl de Ap, Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, and Lea Salonga – are still on the hunt for artists for their respective teams in the continuation of the blind auditions that will now air Saturday and Sunday nights on ABS-CBN.
This weekend, November 8 and 9, Teen King Daniel Padilla’s mother Karla Estrada gets on stage and tries her luck in the auditions. How will she face the coaches? And what finally urged her to pursue her longtime dream of being a professional singer?
Don’t miss the performance of an OPM singer’s kids, who will steal the show with a live jamming session with their dad. Aside from the coaches clashing over artists they want to get on their team, this weekend’s episodes also feature light-hearted moments with stand-up comedian Rufa Mi, an artist who will get the coaches grooving to a Polynesian dance, and an artist who will serenade coach Sarah.
Proving it’s never too late for a second shot at fame, a member of girl group A.K.A. Jam, a former “Pilipinas Got Talent” grand finalist, and the vocalist of a Pinoy rock band will also showcase their vocal prowess.
This weekend, “The Voice” shows that pursuing one’s dream is not exclusive to ordinary people. Those who have already made a name for themselves and are making their way up can do so, and in the blind auditions, they prove they deserve a fighting chance by letting their voice be heard.
Don’t miss the continuation of the blind auditions in “The Voice of the Philippines” Season 2 this Saturday, 8:45 p.m. and Sunday, 8:30 p.m. on ABS-CBN.
