CEBU, Philippines – After staging a record-breaking mall show with Primetime Queen Marian Rivera that gathered an estimated crowd of 8,000 in Clark, Pampanga, GMA Network is set to bring the actress this time to the City of Tacloban in Leyte today, for another round of Kapuso Fans’ Day.
On what counts as her 12th tour across the country this year, Marian engages the Taclobanon crowd at the Robinson’s Place Tacloban starting at 4 p.m. Joining her as event host is Kapuso comedian Boobay.
Apart from performing song and dance numbers, Marian also happily shares with her supporters her newest advocacy “Yan Ang Smile” which comes at the heels of the recently-concluded Kapuso Adopt-a-Bangka Campaign.
In partnership with the international children’s charity group Smile Train, “Yan Ang Smile” aims to help bring back the smiles of those who have cleft lip and palate by offering free operation.
“Nakilala kasi ako bilang masiyahin, bungisngis, at palangiting tao. Kaya ko rin naisipang gumawa ng advocacy na gaya nito dahil gusto kong maranasan ng iba ‘yung pakiramdam na nakakangiti at nakakatawa nang walang pino-problema,” shares Marian.
