CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu King Sejong Institute will hold its first completion ceremony on August 23 at the Wonkwang Global Edu Center.
The ceremony is for those who have been studying Korean language at Cebu King Sejong Institute in the 1st semester of 2014. Among the highlights of the event will be a K-pop contest.
In 2013, Wonkwang Global Edu Center was chosen by the King Sejong Institute for their administrative branch here in the Philippines. About 80 students are learning the Korean language in 5 different classes since March 2014.
Cebu King Sejong Institute offers not only Korean language classes, but also diverse cultural events such as Korean food cooking class, traditional play experience, Korean paper fan making and Hanbok (Korean traditional costume) wearing experience. Through the cultural events, the Cebu King Sejong Institute has done a lot of things to spread Korean culture so people will learn more about the Korean language and culture.
Cebu King Sejong Institute will continue the Korean language class and various cultural events for the 2nd semester. Application is ongoing until August 22. (FREEMAN)
