ABS-CBN mounts all-star benefit concert
CEBU, Philippines - CEBU, Philippines - ABS-CBN will stage a star-studded benefit concert on today at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum to raise funds for the survivors of all calamity-stricken areas in the country, including Cebu and Bohol that were hit by magnitude 7.2 earthquake last October and the Visayas region that was severely devastated by super typhoon Yolanda.
Titled “ABS-CBN Presents: Tulong Na, Tabang Na, Tayo Na! An All-Star Benefit Concert,†the fundraising event will donate all ticket sales proceeds to the calamity fund of Sagip Kapamilya, the emergency humanitarian assistance program of ABS-CBN Foundation.
The show will gather some of the country’s biggest names in the TV, movie, and music industries who will all perform for free including Gary Valenciano, Lea Salonga, Judy Ann Santos, Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Toni Gonzaga, Angelica Panganiban, Maja Salvador, Sam Milby, Shaina Magdayao, Enchong Dee, Xian Lim, Charice, and other Kapamilya stars.
Also gracing the concert are University of the Philippines (UP) Singing Ambassadors, Mandaluyong Children’s Choir, El Gamma Penumbra, Moonstar 88, 6 Cyclemind, Banda ni Kleggy, and inspirational singers Jamie Rivera and Fatima Soriano.
Ticket prices are as follows: P300 for general admission; P400 for upper box B; P500 for upper box A; P700 for lower box; and P1,000 for patron. Tickets can now be purchased at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum office, Ticketnet outlets, and Ticketnet website (Ticketnet.com.ph).
All ticket buyers will be given free-sized #TulongPH T-shirts that will be distributed in the venue during the concert.
The benefit concert will be simulcast live on ABS-CBN’s global platforms TFC Pay-Per-View, TFC.tv and TFC IPTV; and on cable TV via SkyCable Pay-Per-View and Destiny Pay-Per-View. Live reports will also be aired on AM and FM radio via DZMM and My Only Radio (MOR) 101.9 For Life!
The pay-per-view of TFC.tv will cost at $5, while SkyCable will charge P199 to its subscribers in Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Baguio and Iloilo. (FREEMAN)
