Jennifer Lopez spices up Shanghai show, set to do PHL concert

CEBU, Philippines - She’s been on the road with her Dance Again tour since June this year.

And Jennifer Lopez clearly knows how to spice up a live show - brandishing a glittering cane on stage in Shanghai.

The 43-year-old singer performed on Saturday night in her now familiar glittering gold bodysuit and high heeled boots to an appreciative Chinese crowd.

J-Lo looked typically stunning with her light brown hair teased into soft loose waves framing her face, and with a brown and pink make-up palette.

She was later joined on stage by her dancer boyfriend Casper Smart who performed a number alongside the singer and a menagerie of other dancers.

Just days earlier, she had performed the show in Dubai where she celebrated Thanksgiving.

According to Middle East magazine Ahlan!, the On The Floor hitmaker celebrated alongside 25 of her close friends and family at Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Dubai City, with the restaurant having created a special Thanksgiving lunch for the superstar.

‘THANKFUL 4 my Coconuts, my family, my Bear, my friends, my JLOVE!RS, 4 health, happiness, and all the #LOVE in my life! #fortunate #blessed,’ she tweeted, referring to her children Max and Emme, both four.

J-Lo’s tour will continue until December 22. Next stop is the Philippines where she is set to do a dance concert at the Mall of Asia Arena.

In her Twitter account, Lopez said: “I have a lot of Twitter Filipino fans, it’s amazing. They’re so supportive and loving like ‘Come to Manila!’ Now I can say I’m coming.”

The star, however, became the subject of some negative publicity recently when it was reported she was behind getting a maid sacked after the hotel worker asked for an autograph from the star.

The singer took to her Twitter account to defend herself in regards to the accusations.

Ironically, the Dance Again star said the first she had heard of the story was on the social networking site.

Lopez replied to fans commenting on the sacking, to say she had nothing to do with the decision.

She signed off her statement with the hash tag ‘hurtful’.

‘C’mon thought you knew me better than this.. Would never get anyone fired over an autograph. 1st I heard of this was on twitter. #hurtful,’ she Tweeted earlier this month.

But a statement released by Breidenbacher Hof hotel in Düsseldorf confirmed the singer had no involvement.

‘Fact is Mrs. Dodaj did not at any time have direct or personal contact with Jennifer Lopez,’ it read. ‘At no time, either Mrs. Lopez personally, or her staff, or the Hotel, asked for the termination of Mrs. Bete Dodaj’s contract. The group was by any account pleased with the hotel and its services and was very pleasant, friendly and courteous.’ (FREEMAN)
