CEBU, Philippines — Barely a week since the Cebu City Night Bazaar opened this year, reports of vendors selling their spots at the bazaar is hounding the project.
City Market Administrator Jonil Matuguina said he received a report on Monday, December 9, about the reported selling of spots at the bazaar for at least P5,000 and up to P20,000 per month.
"Naa koy na-receive gikan sa akong tawo nga kani siyang displaced vendor nga gitagaan og iyahang stall, nagbutang og tent, pero di siya ang namaligya. Siya, nagdala siyag gamay na lamisa, naa sa kilid namaligya og manga (I received a report from one of my men that one vendor who was given a spot erected a tent but did not actually sell there. The vendor reportedly sold mangoes on the side)," Matuguina said.
