CEBU, Philippines — SkyBiz, the business solutions arm of content and broadband provider SKY, commits to help micro-small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) in Cebu to maximize the digital highway to strengthen their competitive stance.
The Lopez-led digital solutions company recently launched its information campaign roadshow in Cebu dubbed "Growth Series" to help educate MSME owners of the far-reaching benefits of tapping into technological advances such as going digital for marketing.
In an interview with SKYBIZ Enterprise Business Unit Head Roderick Liwanag, he said that there is a need to guide the MSMEs in capitalizing the digital platforms, as most businesses especially in Cebu are still holding on to traditional ways of doing business.
"Businesses are still more inclined towards using traditional way. The gap between traditional and digital is fast moving," Liwanag said explaining that the space in between is shrinking rapidly.
During the forum, Liwanag found out that more MSMEs in Cebu are more aware of the digital transformation and its benefits to their businesses, but most of them however, do not know how to make use of those platforms to advance their businesses.
SKYBiz, he said is helping these businesses "to play their cards right" in the new wave of business environment.
SKY broadband installed its fiber optic connection in Cebu two years ago. It since expanded its customers here.
Liwanag said as part of the company's gesture to forge intimate relationship with customers, specifically in the corporate side, SkyBiz is institutionalizing the "Growth Series" campaign and bring this to different cities and provinces.
He said the company is generous in opening its doors to provide the MSMEs the right access to information as a bona fide participant of digital economy.
SkyBiz, is a unit of SkyCable Corp., which aims to attract corporate clients in the highly competitive data solutions market and provides flexible and highly-customized services for corporate customers.
