SIA and regional wing slate travel fair in Cebu

CEBU, Philippines — Inspired by the good turnout of the exclusive travel perks it offered for Cebuanos last year, Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Silk Air announced to hold another round of travel fair in Cebu this coming weekend in partnership with Mastercard.

To be held on September 16 and 17, 2017 at the Ayala Center Cebu, Silk Air manager for the Philippines Jake Jeow promised more attractive bunch of perks and packages for travelers who book during the two-day period using Mastercard.

Dubbed as "The Great Singapore Airlines Getaway," the Silk Air. the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, sees the strong interest from the Cebuano market to travel and thus it is coming up with packages that support the upbeat travel market.

"The Great Singapore Airlines Getaway" is part of SIA's 70th anniversary celebrations, and Silk Air is excited to be part of," said Jeow in a press conference.

According to Jeow, the demand from business and leisure travelers in Cebu is strong, as well as from other parts of the region.

People now are traveling, he said adding that because of this encouraging development, Silk Air continues to entertain possibilities of expanding frequencies here.

Silk Air has 12 flights a week in Cebu. Booking transactions that will be made during the fair will be available from October 1 to June 30, 2018.

Jeow reiterated the airline's active stance in encouraging Filipinos to travel abroad, it also vowed to help the Philippines grow its arrival count.

Aside from good roundtrip fare discounts, SilkAir, SIA and Mastercard are also offering a free Singapore Stopover Holiday when customers purchase a minimum of two roundtrip tickets of the same itinerary beyond Singapore.

Discounted tickets are trips to Singapore, and other Southeast Asian destinations such as Maldives, Australia and New Zealand, among others.

Economy class fares are also available for key destinations like Japan or Korea, Europe, and USA.

As the regional wing of SIA, Silk Air operates SIA Group's narrowbody fleet and extends the Group network by seeding and developing new destinations in Asia Pacific.

The two-day promotion is exclusive for Mastercard cardholders and KrisFlyer members.
