CEBU, Philippines - The wood earth element of 2015 is projected to bring prosperity to wood and metal industries, this according to feng shui enthusiast Edgar Hao based on practical feng shui principle.
Hao explained that wood conquers earth, so the earth element is a symbol of money to the wood industry, which includes textile, environment, paper, magazines.
The second best industries, he said could also be metal, "as metal conquers wood, so wood is money to metal industry."
Metal industries are technology, banking, machinery, cars, engineering.
Fire industry is also positive as fire produces earth, so it will be an active year for fire elements such as stocks, finance, energy, power generating, and oil.
Another good industry is Earth industries, which include construction, property, agriculture, chemical, insurance.
"In a strong earth year, these industries will be very active, but competition is also very strong and the wood goat brings many competitors in the scene," said Hao in an interview.
The year of the Wood Sheep, based on eastern Feng Shui philosophy, favors the energy business, such as air travel, sports, exercises, entertainment, restaurants, and the fire is optimism which continue to drive up the economy and the stock market.
"It is anticipated that 2015, the economic recovery in USA and Europe will sustain and continue and as there are less serious conflicts like in 2014. The economic atmosphere will be more stable and steady with less dramatic fluctuations," said Hao, who owns several businesses in Cebu, at the same time constantly advancing his knowledge in Feng Shui principle.
On the other hand, Hao said because of the change in energy for the year, 2015 may bring unfavorable circumstances to water-based industries, these are--fishing, travel, airlines, clothing, import and exports, and other water-oriented businesses.
Although, the Feng Shui tradition practiced by the eastern nations in the last 500 thousand years, is not fully embraced by Christian nations like the Philippines, Hao said there is now a growing interest among Christians, especially businessmen to apply this principle.
Feng Shui is the Chinese art of creating harmonious environment. Because it is a five-hundred-year-old tradition that has been handed through generations, several different adaptations of the art are practiced today. — Ehda M. Dagooc (FREEMAN)
