Globe Telecom sets up mobile store in Tacloban

CEBU, Philippines - In order to serve the communication requirements of residents in Tacloban and nearby areas that were affected by supertyphoon Yolanda, Globe Telecom has set up its Globe Mobility Store-on-the-Go, its own version of the mobile store on wheels running on full sales and after-sales operations.

Located at the Robinsons Place parking lot in Tabuan National Highway in Marasbaras, Tacloban City, the Mobility Store-on-the-Go is open Monday to Friday from 9:00AM to 4:00PM starting December 20, 2013.

Aside from plan application and bills payments, Globe customers can also avail of after-sales transactions and raise queries related to Globe mobile, Tattoo broadband and GCASH services. Bill payments are accepted until 3:00PM.

The Globe Mobility Store-on-the-Go in Tacloban also offers Libreng Tawag and Libreng Charging stations to cater to the needs of residents for free call and charging services.

“As part of our rebuilding and rehabilitation efforts in Tacloban, we have rolled out our Globe Mobility Store-on-the-Go in the area to effectively accommodate our subscribers who need urgent communication services, especially those who require after-sales support and assistance,” said Joe Caliro, Head of Retail Transformation and Management. “This makeshift Globe Store is a one-stop shop that will serve the needs of Globe subscribers, and by setting this up in Tacloban, we hope to help bring back what was lost among typhoon survivors.”

To date, network restoration efforts in the Visayas region is almost complete.

In addition to the company’s efforts to restore mobile services in the typhoon-affected areas, the company has so far pledged more than P45 million for various relief and rebuilding operations.
