CEBU, Philippines - Quota International of Metro Cebu (QIMC) started this school year with its 5th Installation of Officers and Board Members (2013-2014) and Induction of new members last June 1 at Casino Español de Cebu. The ceremony was attended by Inspirational Speaker Melanie Lim, District Governor 41 Connie Mapeso Garcia, District Secretary/Treasurer Atty. Maria Dee Seares del Rosario, old and new members and several guests.
The newly-installed officers for the year 2013-2014 are: President – Atty. Rizza Marie Mangubat-Gariando; Vice President-Internal – Atty. Rose-Liza Osorio; Vice President-External – Joji Cerbo Ehido; Secretary - Jennifer June Ngo Sibi; Asst. Secretary – Sara Jane Blanco; Treasurer - Joy V. Mapeso; Asst. Treasurer – Arlien Marie Fe A. Buhain; Auditor – Christine Calderon Balangkig; PRO – Maria Elena Mayol Mantaring; Board of Directors – Atty. Edyleen Adee Monteclar-del Valle, Cookie Queblatin Chan, Cynthia Tiu, Sabrina Teves and Minnie Ceniza. QIMC also welcomed its newly-inducted member, Jemima B. Villa.
District Governor 41 Connie Mapeso Garcia assisted by District Secretary/Treasurer Atty. Maria Dee Seares del Rosario led the traditional ceremonies for the installation of new officers and directors and the induction of the new members.
Quota International of Metro Cebu, founded in November 2007, is one of the newest additions to District 41 of Quota International Inc., the world’s oldest women’s organization established in Buffalo, New York in 1919. Quotarians’ projects benefit the hearing and speech-impaired and the disadvantaged women and children.
Quota International of Metro Cebu is presently engaged in various projects involving six Special Education (SPED) Centers within Cebu City namely: Bulacao, Barrio Luz, Don Vicente Rama, Labangon, San Nicolas and Zapatera as well as disadvantaged women in Kahupayan Center (Crisis Intervention Center for Women and Children).
