Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel Jr. assailed yesterday the Supreme Court ruling stopping the Senate from continuing with its inquiry into the “Hello, Garci” election fraud controversy because of the absence of published rules of procedure.

Former military intelligence agent Vidal Doble on monday clammed up after being shown a marriage certificate to a second wife.

Senator Juan Ponce Enrile revealed documents that Doble had a second wife, Jocelyn, aside from Arlene. However, Doble refused to comment on it, saying he had the right against self-incrimination.

Former military intelligence agent Vidal Doble testified moday at the senate's resumption of the wiretapping inquiry.

Vidal denied a number of allegations made by his wife, Arlene, in an earlier hearing.

Arlene had told legislators that Doble was held as hostage at The San Carlos seminary and that their familiy was not held against their will by the military.

A palace official not allowed to testify monday at the senate inquiry in wiretapping. In a letter to the senate, executive secretary Eduardo Ermita said undersecretary Remedios Poblador was not being given due process at the hearing.

Ermita also said it was premature to invite Poblador to the inquiry. Ex-military intelligence agent  Vidal Doble had earlier linked Poblador to the 'hello garci' controversy.
