[Title] => Happy three kings!
[Summary] =>
Today is Epiphany Sunday a.k.a. The Three Kings who also go by other names that we know... the Magi or the Three Wise Men. You will find this story in Matthew 2:1-12. Interestingly, the evangelist Mark and John never had any infancy narrative. Their story of Jesus begins with the preaching of John the Baptizer. Only the evangelist Luke has the story of the birth of Jesus, but strangely he only mentions the visit of the Shepherds and nothing about the Three Kings. So whenever you talk about the Three Kings, this Bible story only comes from one source, Matt: 2:1-12.

[Title] => Be an epiphany of Christ
[Summary] => No matter how many lights we hung at Christmastime, there is that consciousness that darkness covers the earth. We do not speak of natures darkness but the darkness which makes our lives unhappy, bitter, evil, tragic. Earthquake in Iran with 20,000 dead; SARS coming back in China; the mad cow menace in Canada; the kidnap-slayings in the Philippines, the violence and terrorism all over the world. How do we take the inevitable which cause disaster in our lives; we are so helpless in the face of natures upheavals.

[Summary] => Christmas is for children. Its the time of year when kids write to Santa, proclaiming that theyve been good and thus deserve that present theyve wished for all year. They hang up stockings to be filled with treats each night starting with the misa de gallo all the way to the Christmas Day. On the Feast of the Magi, January 6 in years past but now the first Sunday of January by Vatican edict, kids leave shiny shoes on window sills in the hope that the Three Wise Men would drop by to wisely leave some gifts.
