                    [Summary] =>

One of the toughest hurdles of a student in the university or college is finishing a very grueling task - the undergraduate thesis.

About two weeks ago, I received a bookbound copy of an academic thesis done by a fourth year high school student from Our Lady of Guadalupe Minor Seminary in Novaliches, Quezon City.

With Honors caught my eye because I’m an academic achiever myself.

[Summary] => My five readers must be quite tired of reading my apologies. Nevertheless it would be rude, I would be remiss, if I did not apologize yet again for this terrible lapse in consistency and reliability. 2001 has been a pivotal year for me. I choose the word "pivotal" deliberately to describe a year when everything turned around. The dark dismal parts of my life suddenly lit up and the bright visible parts of my life suddenly dimmed. Between these two points, there were important and unexpected swivels brought about by my being in school again.

When I told someone I was back in school taking my master’s, they would either say, "What are you doing a silly thing like that for? You should be teaching," or, "I really like people who go back to school." This latter from my doctor who is trying her best to straighten out my crooked face (after surgery, obviously not cosmetic). I saw her gracefully and successfully swallow a word.
