The Muntinlupa City police and the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) are following up leads on the killing of a prison official in the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) complex in Muntinlupa City Tuesday.

Superintendent Francisco Abonales of the NBP, identified the inmate as Roberto Cruz, who belongs to the medium security compound of the penitentiary.

It was revealed that the incident happened at around 10:30 a.m. while Cruz was about to enter the maximum security compound.
