[Title] => PACA, PWA told to amend charter
[Summary] => The five-man Philippine Olympic Committee team tasked to investigate the controversy in two sports asssociations yesterday told the NSAs concerned to amend their respective constitution and by-laws before it could come up with its decision.
Former POC president Rene Cruz, who chairs the investigating committee, said his group found a lot of loopholes in the constitutions of the cycling and weightlifting associations and decided to let these two NSAs amend their charter first before they could proceed with the investigation.

[Title] => Sicat wants to end PWA row
[Summary] => Rodones Sicat, hoping to resolve problems confronting the Philippine Weightlifting Association, yesterday announced he was calling a general assembly meeting on Jan. 13 at the PWA office in Manila.
The problem is whether the group of Narciso Aliño will attend the meeting. Narciso Aliño and son Mark reportedly led the ouster move versus Sicat late last year.
Sicat said he sent Aliño a notice of the special meeting through mail with PWA secretary-general Francisco Offemaria set to call Aliño to confirm his attendance.
