Corp., a subsidiary of Japanese multimedia conglomerate Sharp Corp., has expanded its operations in the Philippines by investing another P24 million to manufacture drum and toner-type cartridges for copier machines for export to Japan, Europe and the US.


Sharp Philippines manufactures printers, copiers and fax machines, washing machines, television sets, stereo, parts and components.


The new plant which is located in Alabang, Muntinlupa started operations in May this year. It has a production capacity of   150,000 units per year.
