Ipinahayag ng Philippine Asso. of Local Treasurers and Assesors  (PHALTRA) ang kanilang malaking bahaging gagampanan sa nalalapit na national election upang mapanatiling maayos, tahimik at kapani-paniwala ang halalan na idaraos sa bansa.


Ayon kay PHALTRA president Victor Endriga, aabot sa 3,000 ang city treasurers at assessors sa bansa upang mapanatili ang mga balota at ballot boxes na isusumite sa kanila ng mga lokal na sangay ng Comelec bago at matapos ang halalan ay sinisiguro nilang sagrado at hindi maiimpluwensiyahan ng mga kandidato at pulitiko.
