[Title] => CJHDevCo running arrears since 1998, says BCDA
[Summary] => The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) said yesterday that the Fil-Estate backed Camp John Hay Development Corp. (CJHDevCo) has been incurring arrears in its annual rental fees since 1998.
This is contrary to recent claims by CJHDevCo lawyers that it has been in default only after a Supreme Court ruling on tax incentives was issued this year.
BCDA subsidiary John Hay Management Corp. spokesperson Lyssa Pagano-Calde disclosed that CJHDevCo twice entered into a Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) with the government precisely to address its arrears.

[Title] => BCDA seriously mulls takeover of Camp John Hay
[Summary] => The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) said yesterday that it is seriously considering the takeover of Camp John Hay from the beleaguered Camp John Hay Development Corp. (CJHDevco) amid signs that the latter would not settle some P2.2 billion in rental arrears.
BCDA, in a statement, said it is finalizing its legal options regarding an apparent refusal by the Sobrepena-led group to settle its debt.
BCDA earlier said it has informed CJHDevco that the 30-day notice for the payment of the P1.2 billion portion of the total arrears has lapsed.
