[Title] => Pasay nixes Meralcos bid for lines to light NAIA 3
[Summary] => As if the security issue raised by the national government is not enough, the spanking Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 faces yet another problem. This after the Pasay City council Committees on Patrimony, Land Use, and Zoning, and Engineering and Public Works denied last Tuesday the application of the Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) for location clearance to put up transmission lines that would be the main source of electricity of the new airport.

[Title] => Security fears defer NAIA-3 opening
[Summary] => Security fears have forced the government to postpone until next year the scheduled opening next month of Manilas new passenger terminal, officials said yesterday.
President Arroyo has upheld Transportation Secretary Leandro Mendozas opinion that there are significant security and safety issues that have to be resolved before the opening of this facility. The new terminal needed four months from this month to transfer their facilities. Mrs. Arroyo earlier said the terminal would have a "soft opening" on Dec. 15.
