[Title] => Where is home?
[Summary] => I realized that I am a different person when I am in Australia compared to when I was in Manila. Even when Mama was here I did not use “po” or “opo” that much. When I was in Manila, each sentence started and ended with “po” or “opo.” When you have been away for quite awhile, Filipinos will always observe if you have changed or not. I think it is unfair for them to read you, especially if they have not yet experienced living abroad. Yes, I did change, and if they haven’t noticed it yet, Manila has changed a lot too. [Title] => The salesman in all of us
[Summary] =>
I remember this TV commercial when I was a kid: A guy in a white polo shirt with a blue tie, singing, "Im gonna knock on your door, ring on your bell, tap on your window too..." I believe it was a commercial for an appliance brand and the guy was a salesman, going door-to-door. I remember telling myself back then, "Geez, what a pathetic loser. Ill never do that."
